Song #32

I won't even start with excuses about why I let the music post slide but... here is a new video.

I watched the movie Once today, it aired on TV and the soundtrack seemed pretty amazing, one of the songs did win the Oscar for best original song too.
Several songs were great, 2falling slowly" the most famous one and "The Hill" also beautiful but this one stuck with me. The lyrics and melody match so perfectly..!
Enjoy!

Song #31

Music is back. I haven't been very consistent with this (supposedly) monthly post, but here and there I'll promise I'll try.

Adam Lambert is coming to Portugal to play with Queen in Rock in Rio tomorrow night. I won't be able to go and see them live but one of our cable TV is going to show it..or part of it. I think it will be interesting to see them play together.
This song by Adam is catchy, I like it.

This month just a simple, relaxing song to use as a background to clean the house, to fix lunch, to whatever...

Song # 28

This month the song is a version by The Avener featuring singer Kadebostany (whose original song is also great) of "castle in the snow".
I like the song a lot... and this video is great as well!
Enjoy!

Song #26

Today hasn't been a good day.
Although this song is beautiful, its mournful tone kind of suits me now...
Still, enjoy its beauty!

Song # 25

This song is the soundtrack for a commercial that airs a lot these days in my country. I'm sure it airs in other countries as well.
It's a version of "welcome to the jungle" by Guns ' Roses.
I like both versions but this one is quieter, calmer, better suited to relax. I like it.

Song # 23

Merry Christmas!
Here's a version of "Last Christmas" by Wham, done in a live concert with orchestra last year in Portugal. This was aired on public television. I liked the way it was played out by everyone.

I'm loving this singer's voice. This song in particular is beautiful, the voice, the melody and the lyrics make this really special. I can't stop listening to it. The video is interesting too.
Love to listen to this on repeat...

Song # 21

I've been listening to this song almost all my free time. There's something about the feel of it, the vibe, the melody that makes me both sad and eternal. It's quite the song, love it. I think it's really great for this weird weather we're having here at this point too.
Really can't stop listening to this :)
I hope you enjoy too.

Song # 20

I really love this song. The lyrics and the pace of the song seem wonderful and it's relaxing despite the higher notes.
I just like this song a lot...sometimes there's no bigger reason than he fact you just like how it sounds!

Song # 19

This artist, The Legendary Tigerman, is the pseudonym of Paulo Furtado, a Portuguese singer and song writer that is called the "one man show" because he does pretty much all of the instrumental work in any of his albums.
One of his albums was Femina, a sort of ode to the female voice and he invited many female artists and singers to participate in the album. This is one of my favorite songs from that album, a duet with actress/singer Asia Argentio.
Enjoy!

Song # 18

In the beginning of the month, it was aired the European Song Contest of 2014. This show happens every year and the show of the following year takes place in the winner's country.
The Eurovision Song Contest has an history since the 1956, th first year it happened. Most countries in Europe have, at least once, but nowadays, the show is a huge starting point for many contestants.
Here's the site, if you're interested.

My country didn't go to the finals this year, as it happens most times. It's unfortunate, but some countries seem to have a bigger...power presence, let's call it, than others...

Anyway, this year's winner was Austria and the contestant that represented the country was one of the most controversial ones due to her looks. She's a men dressed as woman and her song was indeed the best. I think it was a well given prize!
The runner up was Netherlands.
I hope you like the song, I thought it was such a good choice!
Enjoy!

Song # 17

This Portuguese singer isn't the most recognized here, unless by a small group but one of his songs was picked to be part of CSI Miami soundtracks. Yay.
This is one of his first known songs. I like it.

Song #13

This song played a lot in several radios here when it was released. The group is Portuguese and to be honest, this is the only song I know without a doubt its theirs. I think it has a good enough melody and a certain romantic feel to it.

It's not a favorite, but it's memorable to me.
